Student Rules & Expectations

At Steady Wheels Driving Academy, safety, professionalism, and respect come first. Students are expected to arrive on time, bring any required permit, license, or documentation, and follow instructor directions during all lessons.

Seat belts must be worn at all times. Phone use, distractions, unsafe behavior, or failure to follow instructor instructions is not permitted during behind-the-wheel training.

Students are expected to treat instructors, staff, vehicles, and other students with respect. Disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe behavior may result in a lesson ending early, removal from future lessons, or dismissal from the program in accordance with school policy.

Driving Requirements & Lesson Policies

Students must have a valid learner's permit or driver's license as required by Ohio law before participating in behind-the-wheel training. Students are responsible for bringing the proper documentation to each lesson and being ready to drive safely at the scheduled time.

We encourage students to practice outside of scheduled lessons with a parent, guardian, or licensed adult when applicable. Additional supervised practice helps students build confidence and improve between professional lessons.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy

Students and parents are expected to respect scheduled lesson times and instructor availability. We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

Late cancellations, missed appointments, or no-shows may result in a $50 cancellation/no-show fee. Missed or late-cancelled lessons may also delay program completion.

Pickup & Drop-Off Expectations

If pickup or drop-off service is selected, students must be ready at the approved location at the scheduled lesson time. Pickup and drop-off availability may vary by service area, package, instructor availability, and scheduling needs.

Pickup or drop-off locations may not be changed without prior approval from Steady Wheels Driving Academy.
